The Experience

An artistic, natural approach to family and newborn photography—focused on real connection, honest moments, and the beauty of everyday life as it unfolds.

Sessions are designed to feel simple, natural, and easy from start to finish. My approach is relaxed and documentary in style, focused on real connection and honest moments rather than stiff posing or overly directed setups.
As a mom of two young kids, I understand how full, unpredictable, and meaningful family life can feel. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and create space for your family to simply be yourselves while I gently guide the session and document what unfolds naturally.
My background in art school and communications shapes how I see and compose each image, with attention to light, movement, and storytelling. My work is rooted in true-to-life color and natural editing, creating images that feel honest to your life, elevated through an artistic perspective, without feeling overly styled or staged.
Family sessions
Family sessions are relaxed, movement-based, and centered on connection. Rather than focusing on perfect poses, we move through a few simple groupings and allow space for interaction, play, and natural rhythm.
These sessions are about how your family feels together in this season—not just how you look in a photograph.
Newborn sessions
Newborn sessions take place in your home, where everything already feels familiar and comfortable. These sessions are baby-led and flexible, with time built in for feeding, soothing, and natural pauses.
The pace is slow and intuitive, allowing for quiet, meaningful moments between your newborn and your family as you settle into this new chapter together.

What I don’t focus on
You don’t need to prepare perfect poses, perfectly behaved children, or a perfectly clean home.
Sessions are not about performance—they’re about presence. I’m not here to make your family look different than they are, but to show you the beauty already there in your real life.
Styling guidance
Once your session is booked, I’ll help guide you with simple styling suggestions so everything feels natural, cohesive, and comfortable. The goal is for you to feel like yourselves—not overly styled or out of character.
Testimonials

“She was easygoing and understanding of our children’s temperaments, knowing exactly when to give them a break or try something new. She also made me feel comfortable even though I’m a naturally awkward person in front of the camera.”

FAQ
What areas do you serve?
Most sessions occur within 30 minutes of Gambrills, Maryland, which includes Anne Arundel County and nearby areas like Bowie, Laurel, and Columbia.
For families outside this area, I’m happy to travel for an additional fee — we can discuss logistics when you inquire.
Where do sessions take place?
Lifestyle family sessions typically take place outdoors in natural light at locations that reflect your family’s personality and style. Popular spots include Kinder Farm Park, Quiet Waters Park, Linthicum Walks, and Downtown Annapolis.
Newborn sessions are held indoors at your home, using bright, naturally lit spaces to capture calm, authentic moments.
What happens if it rains?
Maryland weather can be unpredictable, so we plan sessions with flexibility in mind. Whether it’s sunny, cloudy, or a light sprinkle of rain, we’ll aim to keep your session on track. If steady rain is expected as your session approaches, we’ll coordinate to find a convenient time to reschedule. Overcast days are actually wonderful for photography, often creating soft, natural light and some of the most magical, dramatic images!
